Advanced seminar on African cultural creativity and tourism development held

The “Advanced Seminar on African Cultural Creativity and Tourism Development” sponsored by the Bureau of International Exchanges and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by the Central College of Culture and Tourism Management recently graduated in Jinhua, Zhejiang. Twenty-one officials, experts and scholars from five African countries, namely Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Zimbabwe, attended the seminar. Orotoua, the principal responsible comrade of the Central College of Culture and Tourism Management, and executive vice minister of Kenya’s Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, attended the closing ceremony of the seminar and delivered a speech.

This seminar was held from October 29th to November 9th, and it was carried out by means of special lectures, visits, discussions and exchanges, and cultural and travel experiences. Chinese experts and scholars have in-depth exchanges and discussions with non-party personnel on topics such as “development path of cultural and creative industries empowered by science and technology”, “resource development of scenic spots and tourist resorts”, “development of cultural and creative products and IP operation of cultural and creative brands”.
In addition, the students went to Jinhua, Zhejiang Province for study and investigation, and participated in the “2025 China-Africa Cultural Silk Road Exchange Month” jointly sponsored by the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, and the Jinhua Municipal People’s Government. Three students from Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria were invited to speak at the “2025 China-Africa Cultural and Tourism Cooperation and Exchange Conference” to discuss the opportunities and paths of China-Africa cultural and creative and tourism investment cooperation.

Through exchanges and cooperation in the fields of cultural creativity and tourism development between China and Africa, this seminar will help the high-quality development of African culture and tourism and lay a talent foundation for building an all-weather community of destiny between China and Africa in the new era.
