Chongqingdong Railway Station, located in Nan 'an District, Chongqing, China, is a special passenger station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd. At the same time, it is the core node of the “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed railway network in China, one of the “three main and two auxiliary” main hubs of Chongqing Railway Hub and the core comprehensive transportation hub of the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing area, and it is connected to Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway, Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway, Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway and Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway.
Chongqing East Railway Station passed the planning scheme review on November 13, 2017; Construction started on November 22, 2018; On September 19, 2020, the skeleton road of the comprehensive transportation hub started construction; On May 15, 2022, the station building and supporting transportation hub project started; On June 14th, 2023, the main structure of the station building was capped; Complete the station building construction on March 19th, 2025; It was put into operation on June 27th, 2025.
As of June 2025, Chongqing East Railway Station has a total construction area of about 1.22 million square meters, with 15 stations and 29 lines, with a maximum gathering of 15,000 people.
