China-ASEAN seminar focuses on digital empowerment travel.
Recently, the China-ASEAN (10+1) Digital Empowerment Seminar on High-quality Development of Culture and Tourism, sponsored by the Bureau of International Exchanges and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by the Central Institute of Culture and Tourism Management, started in Beijing. Thirty-one officials, experts and scholars from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam participated.
With the theme of “Digital Empowerment Culture and High-quality Tourism Development”, the seminar was conducted through special lectures, visits, discussions and cultural experiences. Businessmen and experts from the Central College of Culture and Tourism Management, the National Public Cultural Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, beijing international studies university and Shandong Jindong Digital Creative Co., Ltd. gave lectures on topics such as the integration of culture and technology, the construction of public cultural digital platform, the theory and practice of smart tourism, and the integration of numbers and reality to activate new cultural scenes. The seminar also arranged for students to visit Tencent Group in Beijing, the Temple of Heaven, and the suzhou bay Digital Art Museum and Suzhou Silk Museum in Suzhou, which was elected as the “East Asian Cultural Capital” of China in 2026.
It is reported that in the course of more than 30 years of dialogue and cooperation, China-ASEAN relations have continued to deepen and pragmatic cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results. The cooperation between the two sides in the fields of digital infrastructure construction, digital transformation and smart cities has made positive progress. The digital economy has become an important engine to promote the common development of China and ASEAN, and has created new opportunities and injected new kinetic energy for improving the quality and efficiency of the cultural and tourism industries. This seminar is not only conducive to strengthening the digital empowerment of cultural and tourism professionals in ASEAN countries, but also conducive to strengthening relations between countries and opening up future development.
