China releases new144-hour visa freepolicy for foreign tourgroups to Hainan
Starting on July 30, 2024, people
from countries with diplomatic
relations with China can visit the
southern island province of
Hainan visa-free for 144 hours via
tour groups registered in Hong
Kong or Macao.
The policy applies to allstate-established open ports inthe province, and the travel scopeis limited to the administrativeregion of Hainan.
Each tour group must consist of at
least two people, and the entire
group must enter and exit together.
